No notable wear to covers or internal markings. In the publisher's near fine dust jacket, light shelf wear, retail price on front flap. Inscribed on the title page: "For Barbara - I still can't believe we've actually done the interview! Thank you for your faith, support, guidance and friendship. I will always be grateful to you. Love always, Monica." On March 4th, 1999, Barbara Walters sat down with Monica Lewinsky for a 2-hour prime time interview. It was the highest-rated TV interview special of the last 25-years, with over 74 million people watching. The interview took Barbara Walters nearly two years of negotiations and cajoling to secure. She wrote about the process extensively in her memoirs, "Audition." The Lewinsky interview coincided with the release of this book, Monica's Story, by Andrew Morton. Lewinsky was concerned about covering her growing legal bills, so she entertained offers from foreign journalists for paid interviews, but chose to sit with Barbara Walters to tell her story "respectably." The two remained friends until Barbara's death in 2022. Signed.
