Elements II, III, and VI have been completely revised. Element I is examined by means of the multiple choice type of test. This element will consist of 20 questions and 5 percent credit will be allowed for each correct answer. Element II consists of 50 questions and 2 percent credit will be allowed for each correct answer. Forty of the questions in Element II are given to all candidates and are of a general nature. The remaining 10 questions are in any one of three fields (aircraft, coastal or ship radio) and the candidate is allowed to choose one of these subjects. The book incorporates "Discussion" sections for most of the questions, in order to present much important background material which should add considerably to the student's knowledge regarding many varied topics. It is hoped that the discussions will save the student much time and trouble which might otherwise be spent in poring over various reference textbooks.
