[5] leaves (Text in French, including a Table of Content in English), [19] photographic plates, [1]pp (final leaf contains title and memorial text on the verso both in Yiddish). Contemporary string-bound burgundy leatherette album, rebacked with binders tape. This album… contains 19 original photographic prints, of French Jewish children whose parents have been deported and killed by the Nazis during the occupation of France. The children, taken in charge by the French section of the Jewish Labor Committee, are housed in a most charming residence, and are seen at play with other children. Also included is an image of the children posed with staff members. The images are all original photographs printed on coated paper. Text in mostly in French. Some abrasions to leatherette at head of spine and the front cover. Title leaf creased. The last two photographs are detached but present. Ex-library copy with sticker at tail of spine and upper front joint, and pocket on inside of front cover. Binding in overall good-, interior in good to very good condition.
