In the original pictorial dust jacket designed by Milton Glaser (then of Push Pin Studios) , unclipped with the publisher's $3.95 issue price present on the front flap. Jacket crisp and unfaded, showing only minimal surface evidence. Wright's second novel (following The Messenger, 1963) and his best-known work, The Wig is a surreal, satirical, and darkly comic exploration of race and class in America.
