Zachariah Paulo Messitte (born June 24, 1968) is an American political scientist, commentator, author, and academic administrator. He served as the 13th president of Ripon College in Ripon, Wisconsin from 2012-2022. He is currently an Executive Director in the Social Impact and Education unit at Russell Reynolds Associates. Jerald Podair is a professor of history and the Robert S. French Professor of American Studies at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin, where he's taught since 1998.
