Le dos porte la seule inscription: "Caricatures théâtrales". L'ouvrage compte 267 pages dont: une Préface de Catulle MENDES: ACTE DE FOI POUR SERVIR DE PREFACE A UN LIVRE IRONIQUE (5-10), un ensemble de Chroniques de Fernand NOZIERE (11-78) et une brève présentation de André ROUVEYRE par Ernest LA JEUNESSE (79-82). Suivent ensuite (pp. 85-263), les 150 caricatures de ROUVEYRE, en noir et blanc, sur une pleine page, sans verso, avec souvent plusieurs caricatures par page. Pour finir, on trouve une table des matières qui récapitule et identifie chacun des comédiens et comédiennes caricaturés. Rappelons que ANDRE ROUVEYRE (1879-1962) ne fut pas seulement caricaturiste mais aussi écrivain, journaliste et portraitiste. Le long texte de Fernand NOZIERE, situe les dessins de ROUVEYRE dans le contexte de l'actualité théâtrale de l'époque et le texte d'Ernest LA JEUNESSE, très élogieux, évoque plus précisément le talent de l'artiste.Exemplaire complet et en état satisfaisant.
