Gilt-tooled leather binding clean but all somewhat rubbed to edges, black spine labels all gone except one small fragment, top panels of Vols 1. & 2. missing (and that of Vol.3 has been refixed) - this is the main fault of this set. This edition appears to be extremely scarce and only 2 other works published by J.Imray were listed on Abebooks at time of cataloguing.

Some minor foxing to end papers but rest of text quite clean. Fold out maps and illustrations still attached and intact although vol I has small tear to map. Previous owners name and address on front free end papers of both volumes. A lovely collectors set.
