Nette set. - Dit zijn de eerdte 4 delen van een systematisch overzicht van de vroegste Nederlandse rechtspraak over de Wet op de Arbeidsovereenkomst van 1907, die op 1 februari 1909 in werking trad en voor het eerst een samenhangende wettelijke regeling bood voor de individuele arbeidsovereenkomst. Eduard Maurits Meijers, destijds advocaat en procureur in Amsterdam, lid van de Amsterdamse gemeenteraad namens de Vrijzinnig-Democratische Bond en redacteur van Sociaal Weekblad, verzamelde en ordende rechterlijke beslissingen over onderwerpen als loon, ontslag, aansprakelijkheid, contractsuitleg en wederzijdse verplichtingen van werkgever en werknemer. De publicatie maakte nieuwe jurisprudentie toegankelijk voor rechtspraktijk en wetenschap in een periode waarin de toepassing van de wet nog grotendeels door de rechter werd uitgewerkt. Tot en met 23-11-1911 verschenen als (betaald) bijvoegsel Sociaal Weekblad, daarna de Sociale Kroniek. Verschenen t/m 1942. Condition : very good copy. Paperback. xxxix,284 pp. (Septingentesimo anno studii Neapolitani). 29 cm. 500 copies & 10 large format copies were printed. - Eduard Maurits Meijers (1880-1954) own copy of the Festschrift published on the occasion of the 700th anniversary of the Universty of Naples edited by him. Contains contributions with biographical sketches and fragments of the works and glosses of 13th century Italian jurists. The exlibris of Meijers by Chris Lebeau is depicting : two hands on top of each other, one taking the oath, the other holding the scales. The two scales hang on either side of the narrow black rectangle on which the representation; on the underside of the rectangle 'ex libris' and the signature; between the lower hand and the two scales a black crossbar with the name on it; the letters in white and black, depending on the background. Executed different formats.
