The original red cloth front & rear panels and spines are carefully bound in at the rear of each volume. The second volume is dated 1841 and the set is complete.

Contemporary gift inscription to an Isabella Downer dated 1847 to volume I preliminaries; "Western Supply Co." stamps to preliminaries of each volume; light spotting and smudging; interiors else unmarked. A Very Good and attractive set, notable for the appearance Kenny Meadows' illustrations.
