Of particular interest for this book is the half title spread which includes various provenance identifications, and includes an original photograph of Sir D.Y. Cameron, R.A., taken by the internationally renowned artist photographer, Andrew Paterson. This page includes the business card from his Inverness studio, his copyright stamp, and two signatures by his son, Hector Paterson. This book would appear to have been owned by Hector Paterson, who is likely to have added the photograph and business card himself, by the way these are presented. Only a fair copy of this substantial hardback. The original cloth spine is still visible, but much of the cover is obscured by strengthening tape and a pictorial front cover covering which has been added. Binding is weak - inner joints split to webbing. Spotting to blank endpapers. Half title and frontispiece are detached. The text of this comprehensive catalogue is largely good - text is clean and bright with occasional age spotting. One ink tick mark on one page.
