This is not a reprint but the original ed. pub. by McDonald & Gill, Boston, 1882; sepia boards with black lettering and spine surprisingly clean and unfaded, somewhat bumped at corners, but gutters are cracked and front matter and first page are detached--not missing; penciled name and address of former owner on front end page; some chipping of edges of the detached fist page but the front matter and other 234 p. are clean and undamaged, with printing of text and musical notation sharp and clear. List of other books published by publisher on front paste down is clear and legible as is lettering and charming picture of period home organ on back. Interesting insert: two copies of promotion material from the Wilcox & White Organ co., accompanied by Christmas carols.…
