Cary and Stouppe McCance's history of the Royal Welch Fusiliers (1816-1914), published for the Royal United Service Institution at Whitehall in 1923.In the publisher's original decorative cloth, with a frontispiece of The Colours of the regiment. Also contains all six other colour illustrations by Gerald Hudson, and fifteen monochrome illustrations. An image of the captured Burmese Bell at Mandalay on p.74 is not present. Collated complete.Cary and McCance have provided a detailed history which tracks the service of the prestigious Royal Welch Fusiliers. Zustand: Good. Most items will be dispatched the same or the next working day. A copy that has been read but remains in clean condition. All of the pages are intact and the cover is intact and the spine may show signs of wear. The book may have minor markings which are not specifically mentioned. A good condition incomplete collection of 3 volumes. These are ex-library rebinds with the usual amount of stamps in blue boards. No edition listed but potentially first with the dates of Vols 1, 2 and 4 being 1921, 1923 and 1929 respectively. Dusty scuffing and a little rubbing to the book covers and edges. Marks and glue residue to the front endpapers and pastedowns. The contents show a typical amount of tanning and age but are in lovely shape overall, and as reference copies have managed to keep tidier and more uniform than the average library book. A few pages have folded page edges and volume 2 has a tear to one margin. There is very little of note beyond expected signs of toning, and the contents remain clean and uniform and nicely unfaded.
