Stan Musial (1920-2013) was a Major League baseball player, playing first base and outfield for the St. Louis Cardinals from 1941-1944 and 1946-1963. He is considered one of the most reliable hitters in baseball history, being inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1969. During his tenure with the Cardinals, he was named the league MVP three times and helped lead the team to three World Series pennants. In 2011, Musial was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom. He passed away in 2013. Inscribed by the authors to baseball legend Stan Musial, first edition of Over Here, Over There: The Andrews Sisters and the USO Stars in World War II by Maxene Andrews and Bill Gilbert. In den WarenkorbFive vintage publicity photographs of swing and boogie-woogie singing trio The Andrews Sisters, dated variously between 1941 and 1943. The trio appeared in 17 Hollywood films throughout the 1940s, most notably "Private Buckaroo" (1942) and "Road to Rio" (1947). The sisters were frequently paired with the Ritz Brothers, a comedy…musical group also contracted with Universal. From the archive of noted Hollywood still photographer Ray Jones. Born in Wisconsin on January 1, 1901, Jones worked for Paramount Pictures in the early 1930s, and went on to be the head of the still photography department at Universal Pictures in 1935, where he worked well into the 1950s. 10 x 8 inches.
