Cover: ends of spine are softened; one corner is rubbed through to the board; front joint is faded; a third of the the back board has a stain; the illustrations have rubbed spots; shelf wear soiling. The endpapers are cracked over the hinges; the hinges have been repaired, but it is difficult to see the type of repair. Three of the color plates each have a 1/8 in. rubbed spot on an edge.
