Our third person was a very intelligent person who gained fame as a prosecutor who put Mafia and other major criminals in jail. His first nomination was a mistake because he was taking on 'the champ,' Franklin D. Roosevelt. His second nomination was unusual because he was declared the winner from day one, and was shocked by his defeat. His problem was that he turned people off by being cold, stuffy, and standoffish. His opponent was warm, outgoing, and friendly. Our final candidate is now listed as one of the greatest and most brilliant political geniuses in American history. It was a tragedy he was twice defeated by the same mediocre man. In 1962, the world finally realized his genius during the Cuban Missile Crisis when he took on the Soviet Union eyeball-to-eyeball.
