Neuerer Buntpapier-Umschlag d. 19. Jahrhunderts, berieben, geknickt und mit kleinen Randläsuren. Die Seiten in der Qualität d.Zt. sind unbeschnitten und ungeschnitten, deutlich gedunkelt, die ersten und letzten Seiten sehr stark. Gottfried Mascov, auch Mascovius (* 26. September 1698 in Danzig; 5. Oktober 1760 in Leipzig), war ein deutscher Rechtswissenschaftler. Er ging 1735 als Professor an die Universität Göttingen. Aus dieser Zeit der regen literarischen Tätigkeit stammen seine "Praelusiones". Er gilt als Hauptvertreter der sog. "eleganten Jurisprudenz", unter der man die Wissenschaft der römischen Rechtsaltertümer versteht, welche ihre Tätigkeit selbst als nutzlos für die Erkenntnis des geltenden Rechts, der Rechtsdogmatik, entfernt. Bei der Schrift von Joachim Ulrich Schumann aus Wismar handelt es sich um eine juristische Inaugural-Dissertation. Näheres zum Autor ist nicht bekannt.
