Ex-libris anthropologist Jeremy Long, with author's personal inscription to him on first page, signed 'Billy Marshall-Stoneking 15.11.90', with loosely enclosed poem 'On Bringing in the Pintupi', clipped from The Age 26/10/80. Jeremy Long was a member of the first N.T. administration patrol to contact the Pintupi (Bindibu) in 1957, revisited their country on patrol several times through the 1960s and was an authority on their language and culture.
