The wraps are lightly bumped with some light creasing & some very minor spotting to the rear wrap. Unnumbered leaves printed on one side only, including black-and-white plates reproducing photographs by Sue Abramson. The leaves are slightly bowed & there is foxing to the title page. Very good. Zustand: Fine. - Quarto [11 inches high by 8-1/2 inches wide], softcover. The contents are bound with cream cord between decorative printed blue cover sheets. [26] leaves printed on one side only, including 14 color xerox plates. There is a small label mounted on each plate giving the title and date of the work depicted. Also with black-and-white textual illustrations. There is a very small area of soiling to the verso of 1 plate. Near fine. Collaborators Nora Ligorano and Marshall Reese have worked together since the early 1980s. Their art includes videography, installations, sculptures and what they describe as "video books", several of which are illustrated here. The artists write: "For the past five years we have been working on a series of sculptures, which could be called 'video installations'. We prefer to use the term 'video books' to describe them. They are pieces, which make use of video in relation to printed media, such as newspapers and books. They focus on how we read the media and demonstrate that video and television, as vehicles for words and images, are texts to read and decipher. We expand on this metaphorically and have made book structures that incorporate monitors and video." A promotional booklet including information on the CoAccident group, as well as sheets with photodocumentation of the group's performances. Likely sent out to European venues in advance of their European tour in 1979-80. CoAccident was an interdisciplinary art collective that formed in Baltimore in 1976. It's collabortive projects brought together over 50 artists from North America, South America and Europe, involving composers, musicians, performance and language artists, photographers, filmmakers, visual artists, and computer artists and mathematicians.
