While most of these are from the column that have been published as 'Maroof's Musings' for SALUTEa monthly magazine focussed on the armed forces and military matters some are also from other important publications, as it is cited at the end of an essay. Almost all of them are short in length and written to simply provide a brief on the subject for those interested in matters military, though without the details that a more academic essay would normally have. However, the essays in this collection are suitably researched, and weren't simply written 'off the cuff'.
