Adams Sitney describing "Structural film", a term he coined. Sitney identified the formal characteristics common in Structural films as fixed camera position, flicker effect, and loop printing ("the immediate repition of shots"). Among the other contents of this issue are interviews with George Landow and Bruce Baillie. There are articles on Stan Brakhage's "Mothlight with verse by Robert Creeley, on Rossellini's "The Rise to Power of Louis XIV" by Ken Kelman and on World War Two and American film by Lewis Jacobs.
