Jane Eyre and Lorna Doone are signed by previous owners to the front free endpapers. Externally, smart with slight bumping and rubbing, leading to minor loss of cloth at spine heads, tails and tips. Internally, front hinges generally weak, particularly to Lorna Doone, Jane Eyre and David Copperfield, leaving the first few pages of the affected volumes a little fragile. Text blocks otherwise firmly bound. With the exception of light spotting to the first and last few pages of each work, a very bright and clean collection. Very Good. book.

The edges of the covers are slightly chipped with a couple of horizontal tears to the spine and chipping to the head and tail of the spine. The covers are lightly creased.Pages 1-8 consisting of ads printed on green stock, deckle-edged pages [145] - 288, and ad pages 9-16. There is foxing to the overlapping edges of a few leaves.
