Bound handsomely in gray cloth in an oblong format, and with gilt lettering to spine and a fine stamped device to front cover ("R" and "B" back to back). Bright and shiny dust jacket, illustrated, little worn. Stated First Edition, First Printing, with "1" or "a" in "number" line present. Upper corner very lightly bumped at both upper and bottom corners, mostly relegated to the front cover but mildly effecting a few ensuing pages, though not the images within. This volume includes a statement by each photographer, a portfolio, and a chronology and bibliography. The photographers include: Berenice Abbott, Ruth Bernhard, Carlotta M. Corpron, Louise Dahl-Wolfe, Nell Dorr, Toni Frissell, Laura Gilpin, Lotte Jacobi, Consuelo Kanaga and Barbara Morgan.
