Never-before-published photographs. Shocking - Tragic - Definitive. In this book, for the first time Brando is unveiled, from the height of his extraordinary talent to the depths of his despair: his sexual compulsions, the endless years of psychotherapy, the recurrent eating disorders, his notorious psychological manipulations, the girlfriends who have attempted suicide, the love/hate relationships with his children, his sporadic involvement in radical politics, and his controversial seclusion in Tahiti - the idyll that turned into a nightmare. Peter Manso's biography contains the secrets that Brando himself has never told. For a life marked by evasion, self-delusion and indulgence of every kind, this book is the last word. Illustrated. 1118 pages.

Softcover. Zustand: Near Fine. Issues One and Two. Slim octavos. 64, 68pp. Illustrated. Stapled pictorial wrappers. A bit of staining on the front cover of Issue One else about fine. Laid in to Issue Two is a TNS from coeditor Robin Purves to poet Clark Coolidge, who has contributed the poem "Alter Bridges (for Tom Raworth)" and a selection from *Berlin Book*, both totaling six pages. Purves sends her thanks along with the book, noting: "Being the only relatively cheap and available source of your work in Scotland makes Peter and I feel inordinately pleased with ourselves." (Issue Two is a bit more professionally produced, with glossy covers, and Purves also writes: "We've gone a bit slick on you, lost some of that samizdatty appeal, but this issue cost £25 less than the first one to produce.") In Issue One, the editors note that they are publishing this literary journal to "publish the work of Scottish writers beside those experimental-and/or modern-ists (from Britain, the US or wherever) who seldom seem to reach print here." A dozen serial entries in *OCLC*, seven in the U.S.

Revue trimestrielle. (Jean-Yves Lacroix, Catalogue Revues, janvier 2019, p.4). Livres.
