A woman breaks off her engagement with her fiance when he becomes violent after she has an abortion, only to be stalked by him when she later has a child with her new husband. An early, grim New Hollywood entry, directed by Val Lewton veteran Mark Robson, and one of the first screenwriting efforts by Larry Cohen. . Shot on location in San Francisco. Green calf leather boards with gilt titles and rule, and with producer Harry Mandell's name in gilt at the bottom right corner of the front board.
