Earl MacPherson painted movie posters for a Los Angeles theatre, attended Chouinard School of Art and Joined calendar publishers Brown & Bigelow in 1942, he started creating his wildly popular "Artist's Sketch Pad" calendars in 1943. The inside rear page has a printed note from Brown & Bigelow "a delectable serving.from the sketch pad of Earl MacPherson". At the very bottom is an ad for a Detroit business "Harry Melkerson Rubber Company". A gorgeous calendar. Very SCARCE especially with envelope.
