Trade PB (B&W and color photographs) SIGNED by the author (Macnee) on a printed label affixed to the half-title page. "For the first time, [the author] tells all! The behind-the-scenes secrets of the hit TV series THE AVENGERS are laid bare by the man who WAS John Steed. Lavishly illustrated, with many rare and previously unpublished pictures from Macnee's private collection, this is a very personal portrait of the world's best-loved cult action-adventuire series. In unflinching detail, Macnee reveals the true story behind THE AVENGERS, including his relationships with all four AVENGER girls -- on AND off the set. With contributions by fellow AVENGERS actors, directors, producers and screenwriters, including Sydney Newman, the program's creator, this is a unique history of the trial and triumphs of a series as popular today as when it was first screened."
