No Jacket. hardback, 12mo, blind stamped purple cloth faded to brown, lettered gilt to spine, rubbed at head and foot of spine, the stitching remains tight, evidence of a bookplate having once been laid to the front pastedown, signature of William Hopkinson at the head of the front free endpaper and in the same hand, on the recto and verso of the rear free endpaper is an annotated account of the inscriptions on the original Little Gidding sacramental silver. The body of text is clean and unmarked, viii + 220pp. William Hopkinson bought the Little Gidding Estate in 1848 and did much to restore and improve the Church, including a presentation of new silver in 1853.
