Sheet size 91x88cm colour printed to both sides, folding down into colour illustrated title panels 13x23cm. Printed by Cook, Hammond & Kell Ltd, Mitcham, Surrey. Very good, neatly folded with short closed tears at folds and intersections. SIDE ONE features two maps. The first is of Kuwait City (1/10,000) showing built-up areas, areas under development, parks, cemeteries, places of interest, neighbourhood centres, ministries, embassies and commercial zones. The second map is of Kuwait City and its environs (1/40,000) as far west as Doha Village (dhow building) and the site of a proposed Amusement City, and as far south as Mina Abdulla Village. This takes in Ahmadi, Ahmadi Oilfield, the Industrial Area, Shuaiba Port, other settlements, and the proposed Asafar Motorway Extension. It includes an extensive Index and additional features including cinemas, petrol stations, major roads, major roads proposed, motorways proposed on existing roads, and motorways proposed. SIDE TWO has a map of Kuwait State (1/500,000) with Index, colour shading for heights, geographical features, transport links, wadis, international boundaries etc, with inset showing location map. Also on this side is a large photographic title panel featuring the Kuwait Towers, 8 smaller photos of other major landmarks, and extensive texts. The texts cover location, topography, climate, flora and fauna, population, history, social customs, Government, oil, economy, transport, social services, visitor information, and a quick commercial guide.
