Text block good and tight. lxxxvii + 284 pages + 12 color plates of shells. More than 1,200 illustrations, most of them very fine drawings of insects, fish, birds, mammals, in the text. Scattered foxing. Text is in French. The color plates at the end show shells (ten or more to the page) in bright colors. Some insignificant foxing here too. Beautiful plates. The name McKay signed on the title page in blue pencil. A smaller signature in ink on the title page as well, hard to read, but something like Lazenburg. The L- name is also signed on the half title.
