Cloth over boards appears slightly rubbed and has a number of smudges, especially along spine which has quite a bit of discoloration. A bit of bumping to corners and along head of spine. Covers feel a bit loose and front gutter is cracked through; they remain attached. Binding remains secure; no pages are loose from text block. Black and white frontispiece is a photograph of the main entrance to the Surgeon General's office. Pages are free of marks or tears, with a number of black and white plates throughout. This volume comes from an almost complete set of "The Medical Department of the United States in the World War." This is an oversized (and overweight) book.
