Norman Luxton made history crossing the Pacific in the Indian dugout canoe Tilikum, went on to found the Banff newspaper, Crag and Canyon, and devoted the rest of his life to developing Banff as a mountain playground and to assisting the Indians. Contents very clean and square. Brown boards show light wear. Dust jacket has half-inch tear to top edge of front panel and very light edge wear.

Trivial edge wear to cover, else a beautiful, clean copy with "$1.50" written in pencil at top corner of title page. Bottom half of original mailing envelope is also present. Upper cover artwork credited "P. J. Carter / 1908" Luxton photographically documented this historical and restorative migratory event which included traversing ". a distance of 1200 miles over five railways" and using "Some seventy-five cowboys." from the text.
