This is a catalogue of the Recent bivalve molluscs of the continental coast of the Sea of Japan/East Sea (from Busan in the south to Tatarsky Strait in the north), compiled for the first time, which contains 367 species and subspecies belonging to 57 families. For each species the regional distribution in Korea, by provinces, and in the historical region of Primorya in Russia is given, as well as verified zonal-geographical characteristics, and taxonomic and/or distributional notes. For 197 species, bibliographic references related to all aspects of biology and ecology of the region are provided. The catalogue is supplemented with photographs of 192 species and 49 drawings of bivalves. 167 pp., 67 col. pls, 53 figs, hc gr. 8.
