Estuvo como lector de español en un instituto de Sicilia y desde allí mandó artículos a la prensa española. A su regreso, trabajó en la revista Estampa y en el diario hablado La Palabra. También colaboró en diarios como El Sol o La Voz. Una serie de reportajes publicados en Estampa en 1930 le hicieron famoso, en ellos describía la vida de los marginados tras hacerse pasar por uno de ellos. Publicó el folleto Juan Bravo en la plaza de las Sirenas (1922), Las memorias de Pedro Herráez (1927), biografía novelada del escultor Emiliano Barral y Por qué mataron a Luis de Sirval (1935).
