Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - Louie Kablooey was hungry for cake. With no cake in the house, and Mom and Dad unable to help, Louie bakes her own cake. Thomas, Andrew (illustrator).

Buch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - From Minnows to Men is about improving our relationships with our children as we prepare them for the future. It can easily be read and clearly understood, as author Luella Thomas and coauthor Ricky Hill intentionally did not use cleaver dialog or mastering wit. They chose to keep the book simple and to the point. While Hill delivers a spiritual concept in many of the chapters, Thomas breaks it down into simple terms. Their voices cry loud with sincere passion and dedication, as their information has proven to be far less than a simple read or an easy fix. The following are just a few topics of discussion: 'The Blame Game' clearly hones in on blaming others for our inconsistencies and failures, and those of your children as well. 'The Name Game' may be a bit much to absorb if you're looking for comfort. It addresses how we as parents tend to use unfriendly names and gestures, especially when our irrational thoughts spiral out of control. 'Giving Up Moral Conscience for Profit' is a read for those who are guilty. However, if the shoe fits, wear it; hell and destruction may be far worse than a funky, old, perfectly fitting shoe. 'The African American Woman' is a read that may require a glass of red wine. Warning! Please fasten your seat belts and keep an open mind, as it is intended to take you for the ride of your life. 'Practicing or Pretending ' may very well be a great read for all people, as it addresses the issues of hypocrisy. Need we say more 'What Does the Future Hold ' addresses the preparation of our children's future and the importance of coming together for the greater cause, which is to save our children. We hope you enjoy this book.…

Buch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - LITTLE CRIMINALS WITH BIG HEARTS was written by author Luella Thomas. She was inspired to write this book based on her personal and professional experiences working as a Youth Counselor through her church organization in Southwest Michigan. It tells the story about a teenage boy who is arrested and placed in a juvenile detention center for fighting. While there, he crosses paths with kids who've been abused, abandoned, neglected, and have ran away from home. Others are there for fighting, domestic violence, violating court orders, using drugs or alcohol, and for committing crimes. It will undoubtedly change his life forever. The story demonstrates how kids will embrace self-respect and respect for others, when raised or placed, in an environment that provides discipline, structure, and guidance. Additionally, it homes in on the power of love, lies, loyalty, influence, and truth. Although some characters in this story will go on to live productive and successful lives, others will not be so lucky. They will unfortunately be sent to jail or prison, and others will die at an early age. Some incidents in this story are based on true events, while others are fictional. The names were created through the author's mind in an effort to bring the story together. A local book-club in Austin, Texas, states 'Little Criminals with Big Hearts is a heart-felt romantic-drama that will make you smile, cry, and empathize with its characters.' Although this story was written to entertain, it was also written to enlighten parents and all adults about the importance of improving their relationships with children, starting with their own.…

Buch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - 'Flirting With The Truth' is a collection of short stories and poems, all of which are true, based on situations and events that have taken place in the life thus far, of the author, Luella Thomas. The story, 'A Fed Up Woman' can certainly be appreciated by both women and men: it is about entering into a relationship in hopes of becoming that special one to tie the knot, but after several years of patiently waiting, and with a deadly blow to her ego, which would inevitably shock her back to reality, Luella would quickly learn that letting go and moving on, would prove to be most challenging. The story, 'Simon Said' is about friendship, politics, and deadly intensions to undermine, manipulate, and destroy the innocent. With an uncontrollable lust to recruit those who were vulnerable and weak, and to entrap anyone who would get in the way of his progress, Simon would stop at nothing. Known for his charm and charismatic approach, many loved him initially, and although he marveled in delight while watching his victims helplessly self-destruct, he spared no prisoners who entered into his web of deceit: the lost of their pride and then death, was eminent. The poem, 'A Righteous Prayer' offers a prayer of relief to those who seek spiritual guidance, while 'Now Is The Time' addresses change, commitment, and loyalty, in order to survive today's social and economic problems. 'A Message To My People' is a must read poem, for it addresses the issues of morals and values amongst ourselves, our families, and our allies. 'Flirting With The Truth' is said to be a sharp and invigorating piece of literary work, comprised of hair-raising poems and heart-felt stories about life's lessons, which renders 'food for thought'. It's funny, entertaining, and a pleasure to read.…
