Original Blue Cloth. Zustand: Very Good. 1st Edition. 199p. Hardback in original blue cloth boards with gilt titling on the spine. Includes a remarkable number of words beginning with "Z"!.: Zunday Clawes, Zwish, Zwuizzle, Zwad and etc. All original with yellow endpapers. Front hinge superficially cracked as the book contains a bundle of pre-publication notices of the book and a stamped envelope dated 1898 addressed to the author from the Vicarage of Kintbury, Hungerford with 2+ pages of further words as an addendum - and a covering letter. Light wear of edges of boards but still VG. Probably an author's copy - but no written evidence. See scan and email for more.
