Eagle is colored red and white, and the lettering is white as well. Lettering on the spine is gold. A very large volume. Measures 9.5 x 12.5," and is 488 thick, heavy pages. In good condition. The binding is square and tight. The cloth over the boards has some scuffs and tears, corners are bumped and the hinge shows wear. Gutters and endpapers show signs of repair. Boards are covered by a plastic cover. A compilation of examples of printing at the time. Contains works by artists such as Wyeth and Flagg (and many others), as well as black and white photographs, color advertisements, etc. A very wide range of subjects, as the volume was only to showcase different forms of printing and photo-engraving. Though I have not looked through each page, no plates or images seem to me missing. This is an oversized (and very overweight) book.
