unbound. A.L.S. 8vo. 1 page, 343 Manhattan Street, January 8th 1934, to a student. In part: "I was glad to have your manuscript. We read them aloud at supper (which we have in front of a fire). Alice and I both liked "Mothers First" and "Dialogue" second. "Don Murray" perhaps requires a more regulated form and less intensity; for that matter the architecture of the other poems is misguided in places, but the emotion." Boldly signed and in very good condition. Haniel Clark Long was an American poet, novelist, publisher and academic. He is best known for his novella, Interlinear to Cabeza de Vaca (1936), a fictionalized account of the true story of a Spanish conquistador in 16th century North America.
