Albert Londe, 1858 - 1917, was an influential French photographer and medical researcher. He was the director of photography at the Salpétrière Hospital in Paris and worked with Jean-Martin Charcot photographing the muscular movements of the patients, some of his earliest studies of movement. His interest in instantaneous photography led him to design a twelve lens camera, coupled with his investigations in artificial lighting sources, which allowed for short duration chronophotographs on a single glass plate.
