Erstausgabe
Paperback. Zustand: Near Fine. First Edition. Issued one year before Canadian Confederation in 1867, this scarce Ottawa edition of "The Gold Region of Canada" is unusual and attractively suggestive in it's gold-colored paper wrappers. It was issued "probably in advance" to the regular 76 page French/English Montreal edition, at the behest of the Ottawa based Commissioner of Crown Lands, as stated in the preface. Sewn paper wraps, 8vo (9-7/8 inches tall), pp. 28. Volume w. some creases, a few small chips and minor soil to covers, else fine. OCLC locates just one copy of this 28 page Ottawa issue that is not a microfilm copy, etc., held by Library and Archives Canada, in Ottawa. Ref. Ferrier 64, p. 14.
