All leaves separated and numbered by hand suggesting this was neatly trimmed out of an album, owner name on the front wrapper, small tear at the bottom edge of the front wrapper, and a dampstain to the top of the front wrapper not affecting the interior, still a complete and good or better copy. For voice and piano. Plate number 8019. The lyrics to this song are from a poem by Burns that is sometimes referred to as "Sweet Afton," and sometimes referred to as "Afton Water," (as on the front wrapper of this publication) though when presented as a song, it is typically referred to as "Flow Gently Sweet Afton" (this title appears above the score). There are multiple compositions set to this poem, but according to Wikipedia the most widely known is the 1837 composition by Jonathan E. Spilman. This version by Edward J. Loder is unrecorded by *OCLC*.

Half brown leather lettered gilt at the spine with 5 raised bands and blind stamped decoration The appendix 'An Ordinance For Settling and Confirming of the Manors of Framlingham and Saxtead' by Sir Robert Hitcham reprints the 1654 edition with a title page from that edition 'Printed by Henry Hills and William Du Gard, printer to His Highness The Lord Protector 1654'. The appendix also includes a 5 page catalogue of plants 'growing in the near the parish of Framingham' put together by one George Crabbe. 10 engraved plates with fronis piece mounted, plate 2 of Framlingham Castle is missing a tasteful contemporary substitute has been added.
