Dabei ist diese Organisationsform aber keineswegs ein Kind der Datenverarbeitung, sondern sie hat ihren Platz überall dort, wo es gilt, Lösung…en für komplexe Aufgabenstellungen zu erarbeiten. Typische - wenngleich etwas großartige - Beispiele sind etwa die Errichtung eines Kraftwerks oder einer Fabrik, der Bau eines Viadukts oder eines Bürokomplexes, die Einrichtung eines militärischen Abwehrsystems oder einer Rangierbahnhofsteuerung, die Durchfüh rung einer Weltraummission oder eines Schwertransportes. Aus den Erfahrungen hat sich mit der Zeit ein organisatorisches Schema herauskristallisiert, das sich un abhängig vom Inhalt einer Aufgabe bewährt hat und das den zeitlichen Projektab lauf in eine feste Folge von Projektstufen unterteilt. Dieses Stufenkonzept trifft auch auf DV -Vorhaben zu. Zu Projektbeginn spie len sogar die Eigenheiten der Datenverarbeitung noch eine untergeordnete Rolle, die Verfahrensgrundsätze ähneln denen, die auch in anderen Bereichen anzutreffen sind. Mit zunehmendem Projektfortschritt tritt dann der Bezug zur Datenverarbei tung immer stärker in den Vordergrund, etwa in Form von Techniken zum Pro grammentwurf, zur Programmierung, zum Testen und zur Wartung.
