Zustand: Fair. 1953. First Edition. 196 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth boards with gilt lettering. Contains black and white illustrations. Clean pages and illustrations with light tanning and mild foxing throughout. More pronounced to free endpapers and pastedowns. Pen inscription to front free endpaper. Top textblock edge dyed blue. Binding remains firm. Boards have mild edge wear with slight rubbing to surfaces and bumping to corners. Moderate sunning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Minor splits to spine ends and corners causing cloth to be frayed. Gilt lettering is darkened. Visible wear marks to boards.

Here are his reminiscences. Part Three is on the Psychology of Golf. Illustrated. Note: previously published in England, this American edition has an added final section on "My Golfing LIfe", covering the events of 1953, which did not appear in the prior editions. Locke was a South African golfer.

Very scarce originally signed certificate signed by Bobby locke. The Daily Mail newspaper ran a challenge tournament and anyone beating Locke's final round of 68 at the 1952 Open won a signed certificate. This is the first time we have handled this scarce item.

213p. Only the 1948 edtion is listed. Some damp staining to top front board and about first 20 pages, nothing stuck together. Book has a strengthened spine. Very scarce and thus unlisted in Donovan and Jerris. Nice solid copy, book has had some restoration work.
