Este cambio de prioridades se ha visto forzado por el número creciente de detenciones en los últimos años; el aumento del número de terroristas detenidos y los pocos pero impactantes casos de reincidencia han llevado a reforzar los modelos de intervención en su relación con la desvinculación y la desradicalización. Sin embargo, la literatura en castellano al respecto sigue prestando mayor atención a los procesos de radicalización y dejando de lado la desvinculación y la desradicalización. En consecuencia, esta obra pretende ofrecer una visión global de los procesos de radicalización y desradicalización mediante el análisis de las principales teorías que abordan ambos fenómenos, las herramientas para el diagnóstico y los aspectos aplicados en la prevención terciaria.
