A U.S. Army veteran, hge spect his life in three professional careers --first with the U.S. Government , then in private industry, and finally with a New York State regulatory agency. This is the story of the first of those careers, as an agent with the Federal Bureau of Narcotics (later named the DEA). He worked in New York in the 1960s and was one of the very few Latinos on the job.
