As one of the very few Latino agents in the FBN at the time, the story follows his adventures as an undercover agent, totally immersed in activities that filled the headlines of major newspapers - from the French Connection Case to the arrest and imprisonment of several diplomats. His role as a key figure in the initial battles with major drug traffickers is a matter of record. But, his tenure with the agency as not always behind the scenes successes. A sudden transfer to the Miami office, followed by a couple of mysterious, peculiar incidents leave completely baffled and perplexed. Moreover, while working undercover in Tijuana, Mexico building a case against one of Tijuana's drug kingpins, he learns of his inexplicable transfer - this time - to the New Orleans, LA office. He soon finds himself embroiled in internal controversies and unfounded allegations of agent corruption that were subsequently investigated and proven to be groundless. Nonetheless, it brings him into direct conflict with his superiors leading him to question his motivation and commitment to the agency, resulting in a short-lived career.
