V, 154 S., 8°, Goldgepr. O-Leinen Marianne Caroline Dorothee von Linsingen (1768-1815) war die Tochter des kurhannoverschen Generals Wilhelm von Linsingen. Ihr wurde eine Heirat mit dem Herzog von Clarence, dem als Wilhelm IV. späteren König von Großbritannien, Irland u. Hannover nachgesagt. Der vorliegende Titel enthält den angeblichen Briefwechsel zw. Caroline u. dem Herzog. Dies wird 15 Jahre später von Ferdinand Frensdorff in seiner Biografie zu Wilhelm IV. angezweifelt, weil die Herkunft der Briefe aus dem Nachlass des damals in Blansko tätigen Karl Ludwig Frhr. von Reichenbach nicht nachprüfbar belegt wird. In einem Kapitel wird auch näher auf die Sensitivität der Caroline von Linsingen eingegangen, ganz im Sinne der von Reichenbach ab 1841 entwickelten Odlehre. - Einband leicht berieben u. mit kl.
