Collated, complete.Hamley, an officer in the Royal Artillery and later a noted military writer, authored this work based on his first-hand experiences during the Crimean War. He provides a detailed narrative of the Siege of Sebastopol, focusing on the operations of the British forces.Including observations on the conduct of the war, conditions in the camp, and military strategy. In a half straight grain morocco binding, with marbled paper covered boards. A touch of rubbing to board perimeters and joints, with further rubbing to marbled paper, otherwise externally excellent.
