The exterior shows some light spotting and smudge marks along with some bumps to the edges and corners. There is an edge dent on the front right side, about 3.5" on the bottom. The internal binding is good, text pages are tight and it appears the book was never fully read as there are numerous quadrants of pages that are still uncut. Some of the pages do show where they were manually opened, which caused a few chips and tears along the edges. The first section of uncut pages appears around page 113 and skips along to near the end of the book. There are no signatures, handwriting, or bookplates present. Both end pages and pastedowns do show toning and foxing but the text pages themselves are clean. This book would grade higher but the chipping and small tears caused by the manual page separations are the reason why it grades lower.
