At the time of writing the letter Polish-born, Casimir Lewy (1919-1991), was on the Faculty of Moral Science at Cambridge University (1943-1945). He became a Fellow of Trinity College in 1958 and the Casimir Library at Cambridge University is named after him. Z. Jordan is noted for his books "Karl Marx. Economic, Class and Social Revolution" (1971) & "The Evolution of Dialectical Materialism" (1967) and "Philosophy and Ideology. The Development of Philosophy and Marxism-Leninism in Poland since the Second World War."
