Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. 258pp, including a smattering of charts and tables. In a later library binding of blue cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on spine. Tall 4to. Boards lightly rubbed at edges, text block edges toned, with discreet library stamps on upper and lower edges. Elegant Boston Public Library bookplate on front paste down, with small date stamp opposite. Endpapers appear to have old and inert damp stains, but no warping. Some moderate foxing throughout. Original blue covers bound in, a little worn, with a handwritten explanation of volume. The last leaf has some creasing. Text in French. Architecture, Rome,

Zustand: Fair. Volume 3. This is an ex-library book and may have the usual library/used-book markings inside.This book has hardback covers. Clean from markings. In fair condition, suitable as a study copy. No dust jacket. Large folio. Half calf bound boards, worn and bumped. Spine has some wear, binding split but intact. Gilt lettering on spine. Some small stains and library sticker inside front board. Gilt finish on top edge of pageblock. Contains b/w plates 232 to 354, all present. Plate numbers 250 and 258 detached but present. Each illustrated plate is protected by a tissue guard. Very occasional light foxing on the border of the illustrations, though the illustrations themselves are nice and clean. There is a slight ripple to the edge of some plates along the binding edge. The edges of most plates are age toned, particularly the top edge. Bindings poor all boards off no spines 354 plates all tipped in some plates have foxing and plates to rear of vol 1 have some water marks on right edges going into image on last few. Volume 3 also has a little water marking to some rear prints. A scarce set not exlib. no markings. Will require extra postage quite heavy.
